Sharon and Mark Westerholm injured in boating accident near Rockport, TX.
On Saturday, July 17, Sharon and Mark Westerholm were
injured in a boating accident near Rockport, TX.The accident occurred on the Texas Intracoastal
Waterway, close to Goose Island.According to local news reports, the two victims were riding on a boat
driven by another person, when the drive allegedly let go of the steering
wheel, which caused the boat to make a quick 180-degree spin.Mark and Sharon were thrown from the boat
when it spun.Sharon suffered broken
bones and severe cuts, while Mark’s left arm was severed by the boat’s
propeller.Both victims were rushed to
Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital, where they are in critical condition.The accident remains under
investigation.So far, no charges have
been filed.
