Woman injured when grenade explodes at ammunition plant in Bowie County, TX.
On Tuesday, July 20, a woman was injured while on the
job at a Bowie County, TX ammunition plant.The woman was employed at Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant, where the
incident happened.According to local
news stories, the worker was holding a grenade on Tuesday afternoon, when the
grenade allegedly exploded.The
explosion severely injured the woman’s upper body, including her arms and
face.She was taken to LSU Hospital in
Shreveport, where she remains in critical condition.The woman’s name was not released.The incident is still being investigated, as
police try to discover what caused the grenade to go off.
