Veteran police officer shoots rookie Ricardo Solis in the chest during investigation in Dallas, TX.
On Friday, July 16, Ricardo Solis, a rookie police officer in Dallas,
TX was shot in the chest by a veteran officer during a robbery
investigation.Reports indicate that the
two officers were looking for a robbery suspect in west Dallas, when the
veteran officer allegedly discharged his gun and hit Solis in the chest.Solis had been with the force for three days
at the time of the incident.Thankfully,
Solis was not critically injured, as he was wearing a bulletproof vest at the
time.News reports did not state how
severely Solis was injured, however.Police are still investigating the incident.The robbery suspect was not found.
