Sixteen-year-old girl injured in hit and run accident close to Big Sandy, TX.

 

On Wednesday, June 16, a sixteen-year-old girl was injured in a hit and run accident near Big Sandy, TX.  The accident happened at approximately 1:30 p.m. on White Oak Road.  News reports state that the girl was walking along the road when she was allegedly struck by a passing white pickup truck.  The girl fell into a ditch and cut her head on a beer bottle.  The driver of the pickup did not stop.  Thankfully, the girl’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, though she was taken to Good Shepherd Hospital for treatment.  Police are still searching for the driver of the pickup.
