Woman injured in multi-vehicle accident involving big rig truck in Bruceville-Eddy, TX.
On Wednesday, May 26, a multi-vehicle accident in Bruceville-Eddy, TX left one woman injured. News reports indicate that the accident involved six passenger vehicles and one 18 wheeler truck. The crash occurred on I-35, in between Temple and Waco. Allegedly, at approximately 10:45 a.m., the 18 wheeler was pulling onto the interstate from the on ramp. The other vehicles on the interstate were unable to slow down in time and crashed into the 18 wheeler. One woman in a Chevrolet van was taken to a hospital in Temple, TX. Her current condition is not known, and police have not yet released the names of those involved.
While the details of this accident are still coming in, based on my experience with car accident cases, I believe that any experienced attorney would move quickly to secure all the evidence associated with this accident. The victim's injuries could be caused by any number of factors, including the 18 wheeler driver trying to enter the interstate when he did not have enough space to do so, a problem with the 18-wheeler's maintenance or equipment, or other drivers on the road driving too closely behind the victim, causing a chain reaction. The victim may have numerous avenues available for seeking compensation for her injuries, but she must move quickly to make sure that the evidence is secured and that she has numerous options available for seeking the compensation she needs. I wish the woman a speedy recovery.

As a Texas attorney practicing for 20 years, I have litigated all manner of personal injury cases. I use this blog as a place to write opinion / editorial articles on a variety of topics that catch my interest and as a means of sharing news stories relevant to personal injury accidents. I think the overwhelming majority of people are unaware just how common these types of accidents are and I hope this blog raises awareness to rather serious public safety concerns. However, this blog is simply a means for me to share my opinions and I would recommend that anyone who is considering seeking legal counsel should contact their family attorney.
