Austintown, OH home damaged by drive fleeing from police.

On Tuesday, March 9, Daniel McCarthy was fleeing from police after hitting another vehicle.  Police called off the chase after they determined that McCarthy was putting himself and others in danger, but McCarthy continued to flee.  Ultimately, McCarthy crashed into an Austintown home.  Officers say they could smell alcohol on McCarthy's breath, but he refused to submit to a breathalyzer test.

When drivers get behind the wheel, they are responsible for ensuring that they do not bring harm to other people or their property.  Thankfully, in this accident, no one was injured.  But having one's home severely damaged can be a difficult experience and the victim may wish to file a personal injury lawsuit.  I wish I could say that this is an easy task, but in my experience, people will do almost anything to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident.  But in truth, the law is on your side.  With the help of an experienced personal injury attorney, you can be sure that those responsible for your losses are held accountable.
