Five-year-old Parker Lennig hurt after being dragged by ski lift.
On Friday, March 5, five-year-old Parker Lennig was injured in a ski lift accident in Rocklin, CA. The boy's parents report that, when Parker fell from the life, the ski lift operator was not paying attention and Parker was dragged approximately fifteen feet before the operator turned off the lift. Parker was taken to a nearby hospital, but thankfully his injuries were not life-threatening.
Property owners and their employees are responsible for making sure that their property is safe for the people who use it. When someone's negligence causes an injury (whether because a property owner is using unsafe equipment or because an employee isn't paying attention), the victims of those injuries may wish to file a lawsuit. I wish I could say that this is a simple process, but in my experience, both individuals and companies will do almost anything to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident. But ultimately, the law is on your side. With the help of an experienced personal injury attorney, you can be sure that those responsible for your injuries are brought to justice.

As a Texas attorney practicing for 20 years, I have litigated all manner of personal injury cases. I use this blog as a place to write opinion / editorial articles on a variety of topics that catch my interest and as a means of sharing news stories relevant to personal injury accidents. I think the overwhelming majority of people are unaware just how common these types of accidents are and I hope this blog raises awareness to rather serious public safety concerns. However, this blog is simply a means for me to share my opinions and I would recommend that anyone who is considering seeking legal counsel should contact their family attorney.

I'm a former employee. I had brought up this exact scenario and suggested a maintenance procedure that would eliminate the possibility of this type injury. Obviously, my warning went unheeded.
