Two Injured in Parleys Canyon, UT Car Accident

Parleys Canyon, UT – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Parleys Canyon on Tuesday, December 1st, 2015. The accident happened shortly before 4:30 pm.

From what we can tell, a male was driving a Subaru southbound along the northbound Interstate 215 lanes when he collided with a Chrysler, driven by a woman.

Both drivers were taken to the University of Utah Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.

The Subaru driver will be charged with DUI and a warrant has been obtained for a blood alcohol test.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.
