Delaney Cortazzo Injured in Jeannette, PA Accident


Jeannette, PA – Delaney Cortazzo was injured in a two vehicle accident on October 29, 2015. The accident occurred around 10:30 PM.

According to authorities, Ann Williams was driving a Pontiac G6 along Williams when she failed to yield at a stop sign at Brown Avenue. As a result, she collided into a vehicle driven by Delaney Cortazzo.

Delaney Cortazzo sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. She was transported to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville for treatment.

Williams was not reported injured in the accident.

Williams was later charged on suspicion of aggravated assault while driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, two counts of driving under the influence and two summary traffic violations.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.
