Wayne County, IL – Lee Ray Shoemaker was injured after a single vehicle accident on November 6, 2015. The accident occurred early Friday morning.
According to reports, Lee Ray Shoemaker was driving along I-64 when he lost control of the semi-truck, left the roadway, and went through a fence before striking a ditch.
Lee Ray Shoemaker sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The accident is currently under investigation as it is unclear what caused Shoemaker to lose control of the vehicle. There have been no indications of driver fatigue or vehicle malfunction as causes of the accident.
