Denison, TX — There was an accident on Denison’s south side last Friday (October 9, 2015) that left a woman and her husband with injuries. Apparently, a Chevy Cobalt being hauled by a car carrier somehow fell off, landing in the middle of U.S. Highway 75 and causing at least two accidents.
This happened near the Spur 503 interchange, in the northbound lanes of the highway. It was about 5:30 a.m. that morning, police said.
A woman named Amy Foster and her husband (who wasn’t named) were both in a car headed north when they came upon the Chevy Cobalt, which had fallen into the roadway from the car carrier only minutes earlier. Their car and another car crashed into the dropped Chevy, leaving the Fosters with minor injuries.
The reason the car fell off the carrier isn’t clear yet, but police said they’re still looking into things.
The company that owned the car carrier hasn’t been identified and it’s not clear if they’ll take responsibility for what happened.
