Corpus Christi, TX — 21-year-old Christina Vaughn was critically injured on October 10, 2015, in a motor vehicle hit-and-run accident that occurred at the intersection of Ennis Joslin and Rodd Field Roads.
According to police, Vaughn stopped in the road around 9:30 on Saturday when a mattress fell from her truck. As she tried to get the mattress back in the truck, a vehicle struck her from behind and fled the scene. Witnesses stated that the vehicle was possibly a white SUV, and has heavy damage to the front of the vehicle.
Vaughn suffered serious injuries and remains at the hospital. Police are still looking for the person who fled the scene of the accident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Corpus Christi Police Department.
