Rose Bud, Arkansas: Last Saturday, October 3, there was a major wreck along Highway 5 just north of Rose Bud that involved a school bus from Heber Springs High School. According to the news reports I read, about 8 student athletes from Heber Springs High School were injured when their bus, which was en route home from a football game in Stuttgart, hit a deer.
This happened early in the morning on Saturday, just north of Rose Bud.
Like the news said, it appears that the bus was traveling along Highway 5 when it crashed into a deer that apparently ran onto the highway.
The head coach of the Heber Springs High School football team was at the wheel. 8 students were injured and taken to a hospital, where it appears that at least one student was treated for spinal and shoulder injuries.
None of the injuries were life-threatening, though.
