Costa Mesa, CA – 2 drivers were injured in an accident involving a car and a tow truck on CA-55 Wednesday in Costa Mesa, CA.
The details of this accident are pretty vague, but apparently both the tow truck and a Lexus were heading north on CA-55, when there was an issue on the ramp to I-405. The two vehicles collided and ended up sliding down a 40 ft. embankment. Both drivers suffered moderate injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
At this time, no one knows how the vehicles ended up colliding. There is no speculation at this time about possible drug or alcohol use, or excessive speed. Weather was almost certainly not a factor, since it hasn’t rained in Costa Mesa in over 2 weeks.
