Las Vegas, NV – Around 10:20, Sunday morning, September 6, Jon Monroe was critically injured in a hit and run accident, outside of work, in Las Vegas, NV.
According to reports, Mr. Monroe, 37, was standing in the parking lot outside of his job, at Liquor Outlet, 8645 S. Rainbow Blvd., when he was struck by a 2005 Chevy C3500. The driver, Darby Neagle, 43, was apparently trying to park the vehicle when he backed up on to the curb, hitting Mr. Monroe and pinning him against the building. Mr. Neagle then hit another vehicle as he drove off.
In the meantime, first-responders arrived on the scene and rushed Mr. Monroe to University Medical Center, with life-threatening injuries. As of the last update he was in critical condition.
Authorities caught up with Mr. Neagle down the road, where he was arrested and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
