Augusta, GA — A woman was critically injured last Thursday in August after being hit by a pickup truck while she and a companion were jogging. The woman, identified as 61-year old Anne Marie McGowan, was later upgraded to “serious” condition from “critical.”
The accident happened at about 6:15 a.m. on Thursday morning, September 10.
McGowan was jogging along Evans to Lock Road that morning with a friend when a Dodge Ram pickup truck rolled through the stop sign at Stevens Creek Road.
The truck crashed into McGowan and she was critically hurt. It doesn’t look like the other jogger was harmed.
After McGowan was rushed to a hospital, she was said to be in critical condition. On Friday, she was upgraded to serious condition. The driver that struck her may face charges, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Update: James Enfinger, 48, was the driver of the truck.
