Cresskill, NJ – Jack Rosenberg and Erik Pearson were doing routine patrol for the Coast Guard when their plane crashed in Cresskill on Friday, September 4th, 2015.
The two Coast Guard Auxiliary members were in their single-engine 1978 Cessna Skyhawk when it crashed in a recreation field in Cresskill, about two miles west of the Hudson River.
The pilot had tried to land in the river but instead came down at Regan Field behind a swim club.
Rosenberg and Pearson are in stable condition at a hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The crash is under investigation. At this time, there’s been no mention of mechanical malfunction or product defect in connection with this accident.
