Central City, Iowa – Carley and Sydney Nuestel were injured in an ATV accident near Central City on Sunday, September 6th, 2015. The incident happened just before 6:00 pm.
9-year-old Carley Nuestel was driving the ATV at the time of the accident. 12-year-old Sydney was also on the vehicle. When responders arrived on scene, they found a Polaris Ranger ATV on its side.
Carley was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City by Lifeguard Air Ambulance, Sydney was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital. They are both believed to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. The girls were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
At this time, there’s been no explanation offered as to how the ATV turned over. There’s been no mention of a malfunction of any kind.
