Scottsdale, AZ – Seven people were injured, including one with critical burns, after an explosion at the Taser International plant in north Scottsdale on Thursday, September 10th, 2015. The incident happened around 4:00 pm.
Taser is a developer, manufacturer, and distributor of electrical stun guns, body-worn cameras, and other items that are mainly used by law enforcement or military personnel.
There’s no word on what happened to cause the explosion or the extent of the damage. Aside form those injured, nine others were evacuated from the facility.
One man was transported from the scene in critical condition to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. Six others were hospitalized and in reportedly stable condition.
Firefighters and city police remained at the plant Thursday night and were working with Taser representatives to determine what happened.
