Fawn, PA- Around a quarter to 8 in the morning Sunday, Robert Riley, 31 years-old, was injured in an 18-wheeler accident near Fawn, PA.
Mr. Riley was apparently driving down Route 908 when his truck broke through a “bridge out” sign and plunged at least 30 feet into a local ravine. According to sources, Mr. Riley suffered injuries to his chest and back and was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital. No details are available concerning the severity of his injuries.
The truck Mr. Riley was driving is owned by Frac Tech Services International, a Ft. Worth, Texas based company. It looks like the truck was carrying sand and the only hazardous material to spill was 100 gallons of gasoline. Local officials say that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, but hypothesize that mechanical failure may be the cause of the accident.
