Abilene, TX — Police said that a there was an accident involving a motorcycle and a car just southwest of Abilene this past Wednesday afternoon, September 2, 2015. It’s not clear yet what happened, but the preliminary reports indicate that the motorcycle crashed after the car pulled into its path.
This happened around 3:00 p.m. on the intersection of U.S. Highway 277 and FM 707.
Allegedly, the car was headed along FM 707 and ran the stop at US 277, pulling into a northbound motorcycle’s path. The biker swerved to avoid hitting the car, but lost control of it and crashed.
The rider, who wasn’t named, was rushed to a hospital as soon as paramedics arrived. It’s not clear whether the driver of the car will face charges. We also don’t know how seriously the motorcyclist was hurt.
