Limerick, TX — A dump truck driver who hasn’t been named yet was sent to a hospital after his dump truck was in an accident along Route 180 earlier this month. On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, a dump truck lost control while driving along Route 180 and accidentally overturned, landing on a passing SUV.
This happened at about 3:00 p.m. that afternoon, the police said.
The dump truck was being driven along Route 180 when the driver tried make a right turn onto Route 12E. However, it appears that the dump truck suddenly sped up to avoid hitting an oncoming SUV that was passing through the intersection.
The dump truck didn’t clear the intersection in time and lost its balance, tipping over and landing on the SUV. The SUV’s driver wasn’t harmed, but the dump truck driver had to be taken to a hospital.
His injuries weren’t believed to be serious.
