Police ID Emily Zarnoch in Yorke, ME after Fatal Accident with Accused Drunk Driver
Carolyn Lee, 21 www.wmtw.comYork, ME — A woman named Carolyn Lee, 21 years old, is now being charged with manslaughter after her pickup truck struck and killed a young woman earlier this month. Police in York said that 23-year old Emily Zarnoch, a Quincy resident, was killed after she was hit while walking along Ridge Road on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. This was around 12:30 a.m. that morning, near Short Sands Beach.
Zarnoch had been walking with her boyfriend, police said, when 21-year old Carolyn Lee came upon them in her pickup truck and crashed into Zarnoch, leaving her critically injured. Instead of staying at the scene, Carolyn Lee reportedly fled in her truck.
She later passed away that morning at a hospital and Lee was apprehended by police officers not long afterward. She allegedly told the officers that she had recently gotten off work that morning and had 2 drinks, then went home. Right now, she’s awaiting a court date.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.
