Wethersfield, CT — Police identified Kevin Russell as the man who was hospitalized after an accident with a UPS tractor-trailer in Wethersfield, Connecticut, on Saturday, August 8, 2015. The accident happened on Interstate 91, around 3:30 in the morning.
Russell was headed south on the interstate and was in the middle of changing lanes when he crashed into the back of the semi. The collision caused his vehicle to go airborne, and he was thrown from the car when it began to roll.
Police say that the 39-year-old Russell suffered serious injuries in the accident, and emergency workers took him to Hartford Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the UPS truck wasn’t hurt.
The crash is currently being investigated.
