If we’re just being honest with ourselves, it’s probably going to be some time before we’re rid of traffic accidents all together. Until then, there are a few simple things that drivers can do to try and avoid them. One of those is just to drive at a safe speed. The slower you’re traveling, the easier it’s going to be to come to a complete stop. The second thing is to follow the vehicle ahead of you from a safe distance. This will help ensure that if they suddenly have to stop, you’ll have enough time to see and stop your own vehicle. Both of these things are very simple, but could save precious seconds when something unexpected happens on the road. And a few extra seconds could quite literally save someone’s life.
