Orange, TX — A man and a woman were both hospitalized after their vehicles were in a head-on wreck in Orange near the DuPont plant this past Monday. Shannon Lewandowski, 46, and Monty Klinkerman, 47, were both said to be at Beaumont hospitals, police reported.
The accident I’m referencing happened on Monday of this week (August 3, 2015) along FM 1004.
Shannon Lewandowski had been driving north on FM 1004 that morning at about 9:00 a.m. when she lost control of her Ford pickup truck (white) and swerved into oncoming traffic. This was near the DuPont Plant. There, she crashed head-on into Monty Klinkerman’s Chevy truck (black) which was headed the opposite direction.
The accident left both Lewandowski and Klinkerman with injuries and Lewandowski had to be take via helicopter to a hospital. As of Tuesday, both she and Klinkerman were still hospitalized.
It’s not clear why Lewandowski lost control of her car that morning, but the Orange PD said they’d keep looking into it.
