Baytown, TX — There was a accident along I-10 in Baytown that killed a man on Saturday afternoon of this past weekend, police said. Also injured were children aged 1, 4, 12, and 14 years old. Baytown PD hasn’t released a lot of information detailing what happened yet, though.
As far as we known, this accident happened just before 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, August 1, 2015.
A gold-colored SUV (Ford Explorer) was headed along I-10, driven by a man and carrying the four children mentioned above. As they were headed along the interstate, the SUV somehow lost control and swerved off the side, causing it to lose traction and flip over.
The man driving the SUV was badly injured and died immediately, but the four children inside were taken to a hospital nearby. At the last update, they had very serious injuries.
Police said that they think speed is a factor, but they aren’t releasing any other details right now.
