Abilene, TX — A bicyclist was hospitalized after being clipped by a passing vehicle in Abilene, Texas, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. The accident happened in the 1400 block of Dub Wright Blvd., around 10:45 at night.
Local reports say that the bicyclist involved in the accident — whose been identified only as a 51-year-old woman — was riding along the side of the road when an oncoming vehicle swerved out of her way at the last second and she was hit by one of its side mirrors.
Emergency workers transported the woman to Hendrick Medical Center for treatment.
No information on the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident has been released. Local reports make it sound as if someone was cited by police for the accident, but they don’t make it clear who.
