Mother and infant child injured in Austin, TX auto accident with school bus
A mother and her 2-week-old child were injured on Friday January 15th, 2010, when her Kia sedan collided with a Austin School District bus. No students were hospitalized, nor was the bus driver. The collision happened when both vehicles were facing opposite directions on Slaughter lane. As the vehicles came up to Texas Oaks Drive, both had green lights. The Kia continued straight, but the bus turned left without yielding right of way to oncoming traffic. The woman was unable to stop, and her car slid into, and slightly under the bus. Austin firefighters freed the woman, and both her and her baby were rushed to the hospital.
If you or someone you love has been injured in a TX auto accident due to the negligence of another driver, you may be confused and wondering how you are going to get your life back together. If the accident was not your fault, why should you be the one to bear the financial burden? Before you speak to the insurance company, I would recommend speaking with a Texas car accident injury lawyer. Often times, insurance adjusters will attempt to trick you into harming your case, or offer you a drastically inadequate settlement soon after the accident. Do not fall for these widely used insurance company tactics! Contact an experienced auto accident lawyer in Texas, and let them help you get the financial compensation you deserve.
