Palm Beach, FL — One person was killed and another was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, July 26, 2015. The accident happened at the intersection of Malabar and Glatter roads, around 2:30 in the afternoon.
Police have identified the woman who died in the accident as 47-year-old Catherine Brooks. She was traveling with a 16-year-old passenger when she lost control of her vehicle and drove off the road. She rolled several times befor finally coming to a stop in a ditch just off the road.
Brooks died at the scene. Her passenger lived, with only minor injuries. Right now, it’s not clear exactly why Brooks lost control of her pickup.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
