Waco, TX — Police have recently updated their reports from this past weekend to include the names of the three adults who died in a serious accident northeast of the city. Julius Voyles and Susan Voyles, 59 and 58, were both killed in a car wreck with driver Jerica Hill, who also died.
The accident happened on Saturday (July 25, 2015) along Highway 31, near Axtell.
The Voyles, along with two teen girl passengers: 16-year old Savannah Voyles and 15-year old Kerstyn Irvin, were headed east along Highway 31 that Saturday evening around 6:30 p.m. in their Lincoln. Jerica Hill, 26, and two young children in her Ford pickup truck were driving north on FM 939.
As Hill reached the intersection of the two roads, she apparently didn’t stop at the posted stop sign and continued to drive into the Voyles’ path.
The two vehicles collided and major damage was done. Both Julius and Susan Voyles were killed in the wreck, along with Jerica Hill.
Savannah Voyles was badly injured and was still in critical condition as of today. Kerstyn Irvin, 15, was in better condition and did not require a lengthy hospital condition, though she was treated by physicians.
Two small children in Hills’ truck, a 6-year old boy and a 15-month old, were injured by the accident as well, but not very badly.
Right now, it’s looking as though Mrs. Hill ran the stop sign, causing the wreck, but there still needs to be an investigation.
