In any accident involving an 18-wheeler, the investigation that comes after the fact is going to be incredibly important. In many accidents, trucking companies will conduct their own investigations, and often use what they find as a means to pushing liability off of themselves and onto other parties. Taking that into account, the investigation becomes even more important. Evidence is what’s going to prove a case either way, so victims are going to want to get their hands on as much of that as they can. When something like this happens, I wouldn’t put my faith in a reputable company to portray themselves in anything but a favorable light. Remember, trucking companies are looking after their interests, not yours.
