Eagleville, MO — A man from Eagleville was seriously injured near I-35 on Route N this past Friday morning after his motorcycle was hit by a car. This happened at about 10:45 a.m. that morning (July 3, 2015) and the injured man was later identified as Seth Lane, 30 years old.
Police with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said that Lane had been riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle east along Route N that morning when a woman driving the opposite direction in her Toyota sedan tried to make a left turn in front of him.
The Toyota didn’t yield to Lane and his motorcycle crashed into the side of the car. He was thrown from his motorcycle and badly injured. After he was taken to a nearby hospital, Lane died from his injuries.
The cause of the accident isn’t clear yet and we don’t know if the Toyota’s driver here will face any charges. She was later identified as Katherine Caya, 74 years old.
