Coffee City, TX — At the beginning of the month of June, there was a motorcycle-pickup truck accident reported that left one person with major injuries. No names were ever released, but the police in Coffee City later confirmed that a motorcyclist had been hit by a pickup truck along Highway 155.
This happened on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at about 12:00 p.m. that afternoon.
Coffee City PD said that a motorcycle was driving along Highway 155 when the rider was hit by a passing truck near FM 3056/Meadow Lane.
The man on the motorcycle was airlifted to hospital, which usually means the injuries are too severe to wait on an ambulance. However, the man’s name hasn’t been released. The pickup truck driver wasn’t hurt and it doesn’t appear that they’re facing any charges at the moment.
Update: There was an unofficial update concerning this accident, saying that the motorcyclist was David Brown and that he passed away from his injuries.
