TRUCKEE, CA — Department of Transportation officials named Ismael Maygora-Torres as the man that was flown to the hospital after a hit-and-run accident in Truckee, California on Monday, June 29th, 2015. Reports from Sacramento and Stockton said that the accident happened around 2:30 Monday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol officials said that 51-year-old Ismael Maygora-Torres was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a slow moving vehicle while working on a construction project on Highway 89. The vehicle that hit him did not stay on the scene.
EMS took Torres to a hospital in Reno where he was being treated for injuries that were described as “major”.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
