Anderson, IN — A pickup truck and a red car collided in a serious accident last Wednesday afternoon (June 17, 2015) that left four people injured, including an elderly woman who was said to be in critical condition. The accident happened around 4 p.m. that day, along 38th Street in front of the Redbud Estates neighborhood.
The four who were injured were in a red Chevy Cobalt that was driving along 38th Street that afternoon. The pickup truck was described as a black Chevy Silverado, the police said.
Not many details were released, but it appears that the Silverado was driving east along 38th Street that afternoon when the red Chevy Cobalt tried to turn south on Redbud Boulevard. The truck collided with the smaller Chevy and injured four people inside.
Among the injured was an elderly woman who was listed in critical condition. The driver of the truck wasn’t very seriously hurt. Right, it’s hard to tell if the Chevy Cobalt had been driving the opposite direction that afternoon, and had therefore failed to yield, or if the pickup truck rear-ended the Cobalt as it was turning. More investigation is expected.
