Cumming, GA — Earlier this year, on May 30, there was an accident in Cumming that killed a young Utah woman and left another with critical injuries. The news recently reported that the injured Utah woman in the accident, 19-year old Rachel Beckstrom, was still in critical condition from the wreck.
On Friday, May 30, Rachel Beckstrom and Natalie Barnard were in Barnard’s car headed along Leland Drive that evening at about 5:30 p.m. As they came to the T-intersection with Matt Highway/U.S. 306/Keith Bridge Highway, their car pulled out and was hit by a passing semi-truck.
The accident killed Natalie Barnard and critically injured Rachel Beckstrom. The truck driver here, James Davis, 70, wasn’t harmed. The cause of the accident wasn’t ever confirmed, but it’s apparent that no charges were filed against James Davis.
