Pelican Rapids, MN — On Saturday, April 11, there was an accident reported in Pelican Rapids that left one man with injuries. Police ID’d the man as Jerald Jacobson and said that the wreck may have been alcohol-related.
According to their reports, Jacobson has been driving his Chevy pickup truck out of a parking lot that night around 9:30 p.m. As he turned onto Broadway Street from a parking lot near 7th Avenue, his truck swerved across the median and crashed into a light pole on the other side.
His truck then drove into a ditch and went back across the median, where it drove into a ditch a second time.
Jacbson Jacobson was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries, though police though that alcohol might’ve been a factor. At the last update, there was still no confirmation on whether alcohol-related charges had been filed. It’s also not clear how badly he was injured.
