Naomi Dee Critically Injured in Car Accident in Duluth, MN


Duluth, MN — A woman was critically injured in a car accident in Duluth, Minnesota, on Thursday, June 18, 2015. The accident took place at the intersection of Martin and Ugstad roads.

Reports say that Dee was headed north on Ugstad when she pulled in front of a vehicle traveling east on Martin. The two vehicles collided and both were sent into an off-road ditch.

Emergency workers extricated Dee from her vehicle and transported her to a local hospital. She’s been listed in critical condition. The diver of the second vehicle was identified as 25-yar-old Daniel Strapple. His condition is currently unknown, although he was also taken to a local hospital.

The accident is still being investigated.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.
