San Antonio, TX — A man was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated (on both drugs and alcohol, the news is claiming) this past Saturday afternoon in San Antonio. The police said that 41-year old Juan Rivera got onto Loop 410 going the wrong direction in the southbound lanes at about 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015.
His green Ford SUV sped along Loop 410 for several minutes that morning until it finally stopped near Military Drive after hitting another driver head-on.
Rivera, who was suspected of being under the influence, was subsequently arrested by responding officers. The picture above is one taken from a passerby who confronted Rivera after the wrecks.
Afterward, the police started to investigate what had happened. They think that Rivera got onto Loop 410 as early as Lakeside Parkway and drove north in the southbound lanes.
As he (erratically) drive, his SUV clipped and crashed into several other drivers before finally hitting one car head-on. The driver of the that car suffered broken bones, but Juan Rivera wasn’t injured.
The police said that they would be charging Juan Rivera for being under the influence, claiming that he had been drinking the night before and may have also been under the influence of a drug.
