New Waverly, TX — A driver was hospitalized following a car accident in New Waverly, Texas, on Friday, June 12, 2015. The accident took place on Highway 150, around 3:00 in the morning.
The driver has been identified only as a 19-year-old Army soldier. Officials say that he was returning to his unit when he drove off the road and crashed into a fence and several trees before rolling over and landing on its roof.
The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and emergency crews were called out to help extricate him from the vehicle.
After being removed from the car, the driver was taken to Conroe Regional Medical Center for his injuries.
The accident is currently under investigation.
