Granville Township, PA — A driver was put in the hospital after surviving a single-vehicle accident in Granville Township, Pennsylvania, on Monday, June 1, 2015. The accident happened on Route 514, around 12:30 in the afternoon.
The name of the man hurt in the accident hasn’t been released. Police say the man drove off the road and crashed into a tree. Emergency workers responding to the call needed about 10 minutes to extricate the man from the vehicle. He was then taken to Robert Packer Hospital.
The extent of his injuries is unknown. No one else was hurt in the crash.
Police are currently trying to discover what caused the accident.

I know that many tend to look at accidents like this and blame the drivers without really bothering to get a full grasp on what happened, or waiting for all the facts to come in. There’s no doubt that drivers cause accidents like this all the time, but they don’t cause all of them. It’s possible that there was something wrong with the victim’s vehicle. Perhaps he had a tire that blew out. In those instances, liability for the crash could fall on a manufacturer. Again, we don’t have all the facts yet, so it’s best to hold off judgement.
