San Francisco, CA — The news reports said that a worker at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art had to be rushed to a hospital early Friday morning (May 29, 2015) after he accidentally fell about 20 feet down an elevator shaft. The worker wasn’t identified, but was apparently on some scaffolding doing some work on the building’s elevator when this happened.
The sources said that the man was inside the elevator shaft on Friday morning at about 10:15 a.m. when something gave way and he fell from the 7th floor to another floor.
The worker was badly injured and had to be rushed to a hospital. At the last update, his condition was “critical.” The cause of the accident is being investigated by city officials and also the builder for the construction project, Webcor Builders.
Note: as of Friday afternoon, there was not any new information to report.
