Crestview, Florida — Police in Crestview responded to an 18-wheeler accident along I-10 this past Tuesday night, May 26, 2015 that apparently included a fire as well. They said that one person was injured after their vehicle was in a wreck with an 18-wheeler truck that was transporting several cars down the interstate.
Not many details were allowed to be released, but this happened around 9:00 p.m. at night.
The person who was injured hasn’t been identified yet and police aren’t even sure what caused this wreck, let alone the fire that came with it.

Commentary:
I don’t know how severe this accident was, but I do that big 18-wheeler trucks and transport rigs aren’t supposed to catch fire in anything short of a massive collision. With that in mind, does anyone know more about what happened here, exactly? Did this truck catch fire after hitting something? Or was it the result of something being wrong with the truck?
Obviously, truckers entrust their lives with these rigs on a daily basis, so you’d hope that they are more than just a little “fireproof.” If something was wrong with that truck that started the fire, then the manufacturer or even the owner of the truck might incur some liability.
