5-month-pregnant Alicia Lockhart-Powel injured after Loop 281 auto accident
Five people were hospitalized Christmas Eve following an auto accident in the Loop 281 overpass to IH-81 in Longview, TX. 37-year-old Alicia Lockhart-Powel was on the job, picking up a chair and returning to Shreveport, when a Buick Century turned onto the interstate without yielding the right of way. All occupants of the Buick, Adriana FaJardo, Roberto FaJardo and their children, Emili FaJardo, 2, and Alexis FaJardo, 3, were also sent to the hospital with unknown injuries.
If you have ever been injured in an auto accident, you know how difficult the situation can be. Add an expecting mother to the mix, and medical bills can pile up very fast. You were not at fault, why should the financial burden be on you? Don't think that the insurance company will volunteer you fair compensation. It is in their best interest to offer you as little as possible. They will use a variety of tactics to damage your case against them, and the only way to make sure you get what you deserve is to contact a personal injury attorney.

As a Texas attorney practicing for 20 years, I have litigated all manner of personal injury cases. I use this blog as a place to write opinion / editorial articles on a variety of topics that catch my interest and as a means of sharing news stories relevant to personal injury accidents. I think the overwhelming majority of people are unaware just how common these types of accidents are and I hope this blog raises awareness to rather serious public safety concerns. However, this blog is simply a means for me to share my opinions and I would recommend that anyone who is considering seeking legal counsel should contact their family attorney.
