Brookfield, IL — There was an accident in the Brookfield Zoo parking lot this past Tuesday (May 26, 2015) that was between two school buses and left about 10 students injured. None of the students were in serious condition, however.
The news reports covering this have said that two school buses were in the Brookfield Zoo’s parking lot on Tuesday afternoon, clearly for a field trip of some sort, when one accidentally rear-ended the other.
Many students were aboard each bus and 10 total were transported to nearby hospitals. Police said they’re looking into this further, but didn’t mention if either of the bus drivers would face any charges. They also aren’t sure how the buses collided in the first place.
