Commentary
I wish we knew a little more about what happened here. Reports say the accident took place around 5:00 in the morning. Of course, none of this has been confirmed, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that alcohol was involved in this somehow. That could potentially be something to watch out for. Texas law forbids bars from serving those who are obviously drunk. And while it seems like an easy law to follow, with benefits that are readily apparent, it gets ignored all the time. If that’s what happened here, it’s possible that the bar could be facing liability for the crash.
