Connell, WA — Three people were in a car that crashed last month (Saturday, April 29, 2015) and at least two of them had to be taken to a hospital for serious injuries. Police identified those involved as Jose Negrete, 18, Jose Chavez, 20, and a 16-year old boy. They think that Negrete may have been driving under the influence, which ultimately injured both Chavez and the 16-year old.
This accident happened in the early morning hours along Hendricks Road, which is a rural road in between Basin City and Connell.
Negrete was apparently driving his car along Hendricks Road that morning when he lost control as the road slightly curved. The car then swung off the road and crashed, injuring passengers Jose Chavez and the 16-year old boy.
An ambulance was called and both Chavez and the 16-year old were rushed to a hospital and then flown to another medical center for their injuries.
It’s not clear whether Negrete was under the influence or not that night, but police said that they would be investigating further.
