Buena Vista Township, MI — A driver was hospitalized following a single-vehicle accident that took place in Buena Vista Township, Michigan, on Friday, May 15, 2105. The accident happened on the Hess Street Overpass, which crosses Interstate 75, around 6:30 in the morning.
The driver of a pickup truck would later tell police that he swerved to avoid something in the middle of the road. He rolled the truck off the overpass and down a small hill before the vehicle came to a stop on its side on the street below.
Emergency workers responding to the call removed the truck’s windshield and removed portions of the cab to remove the man from the vehicle. He had suffered a head laceration and was taken to a local hospital. The full extent of his injuries is unknown.
No other injuries were reported.
