Amarillo, TX — There was an accident along Georgia Street in Amarillo on April 21 of last month that let a 10-year old boy with injuries. Police identified the boy as Jaden Bell, 10, and said that his helmet helped prevent his serious injuries from being fatal ones.
The accident happened at about 8:00 a.m. that morning, when Bell was riding his bike at the intersection of 16th Ave. and Georgia St. and was hit by a GMC Terrain SUV.
The accident left Bell badly injured and he had to be flown to a nearby hospital in Lubbock. His injuries included broken bones, a ruptured spleen, a fractured skull, and brain swelling, among others. The driver of the SUV claims that they had the right of the way, the police said. At the time, Jaden Bell had been riding to school.
This may still require some more investigation.
